At F&R Interiors here in the Los Angeles area, many of our customers are concerned about how they can treat different window types in different rooms in their homes and still achieve a consistent look throughout. With many off-the-shelf solutions, that could be tough. But with Hunter Douglas, customers have many options.
Different Requirements for Different Rooms
One product line might not be the right solution for your home. After all, windows come in different shapes and orientations, and the amount of direct sunlight differs from room to room. However, Hunter Douglas offers some solutions. For example, check out The Whole House Solution™ program, in which select fabrics across product lines share the same names and colors, taking the guesswork out of selecting the products for your windows. Keep in mind, with The Whole House Solution™, the products do not “match,” but they do coordinate. Hunter Douglas also has window treatments that allow a consistent took throughout the home, but with different opacity and operating options. For example, with Duette® Honeycomb Shades, the backing is white to the outside; however, the front can be whatever color or fabric that fits the room’s décor. There are also “dual function” products such as Duolite™, which has a sheer fabric on top and a semi-opaque fabric on the bottom, which could be great for a living room while perhaps not so great for a bedroom. Or in a room with a regular window and a slider, you could choose the Vertiglide™ option for the sliding door and a standard shade for over the sink. Or you could go with Skyline® Gliding Window Panels for your sliding door and Designer roller or screen shades for your horizontal windows in coordinating fabrics.

Hunter Douglas PowerView® Motorization is affordable and a great addition to your new window treatments. It’s convenient, provides a safe environment for your children and pets, and adds another level of security to your home. You can even program your window treatments to move when you aren’t home by using the PowerView App on your smartphone.
