Give Your Walls Some Attention
Whether you add holiday décor or not, you might want to get your walls into spruced-up shape. This year’s trending mix of warm and cool tones can add just the right flair to make your home holiday-special. The key to making the colors work is to pick one focal point with creative accents that can complement it. For example, paint one wall a trendy bright yellow, and then transform the whole look by adding complementary artwork in cool neutrals or grays. As you add new art pieces, consider getting an original piece or two. New artwork doesn’t have to be pricey, either—you can find great pieces from new local artists at small coffee shops, your community council for the arts, or even local community libraries or centers for reasonable prices.
Winter in L.A.
Even though L.A. isn’t usually associated with wintery wonderlands, you can bring that cabin and mountain coziness to your space.
